Hi my name is Brenda McNamara. I am the PE teacher for Thornton Elementary. I am so excited to be at Thornton again. I was a Kindergarten teacher at Thornton 13 years ago, before my daughter was born. Thornton has a special place in my heart. I played softball for Colorado Northwestern, I recieved my undergrad degree from Metro State in Elementary Education, and recieved my Master's degree in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education from CU Denver, and I earned my Certification in PE. I am married and have two children ~ my son who is now 11, and my daughter who is now 14. Our family loves to bike ride, go camping, travel, and play a variety of sports like basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, and dodgeball etc...
