Kai is thrilled to be joining the incredible teaching team at Thornton Elementary School. As a classically trained vocalist, Kai enjoys sharing their love of music with the world. They are a Masters candidate at University of Northern Colorado and they hold a B.A. in Music and Psychology from SUNY Empire State College in New York. Originally from Pennsylvania, Kai spent time in Brooklyn before relocating with their spouse to Colorado. A self taught guitarist, Kai can often be found strumming a tune and singing along. Working with children has long been a goal of theirs and Kai looks forward to being a positive musical influence in the lives of the students at Thornton Elementary. Outside of the classroom, Kai spends their time jogging the trails of Lafayette, cooking up delicious meals, reading good books, and chasing their two-year-old around town.
