Ms. Martinez is excited to be a part of the Thornton Elementary community as a fourth grade teacher! She was lucky enough to student teach with the incredible Mrs. Daughters in 2019-2020 and she can't wait to meet her students. After studying French and International Affairs with a minor in Mexican American Studies at the University of Northern Colorado, she discovered her passion for teaching during her two years as a paraprofessional in DPS. She believes it is a teacher's duty to honor each student as the unique individuals they are by empowering them to discover their strengths and become informed global citizens. She strives to create a strong, cohesive classroom community based on positive relationships where everyone is excited to learn and grow. When she isn't in the classroom, she enjoys reading, yoga, and spending time with her friends and family.
