March Newsletter
Thank you to all the families who attended Parent Teacher conferences. We especially appreciate everyone who weathered the snow and cold to show up for Wednesday’s conferences. It is always great to formally connect with families in person and our partnership is a critical component of students’ success. While conferences provide a formal check in with teachers, please know you can reach out to staff members at THE at anytime.

February was National Kindness month and the Thornton Elementary community is working hard to show kindness throughout the school. Each classroom is setting a goal and earning kindness chains when they are showing kindness to themselves and others. When your students' class meets their goals they get to celebrate the kind acts that they have been working on! Check out some of the Videos our classes have been working on! “Kindness is not a fixed trait that we either have or lack, but more like a muscle that can be developed and strengthened.” Sharon Salzberg |
