Important Upcoming Dates

  • Thursday, May 27-Kindergarten Continuation. Ms. Lavelle’s class-8:30-9:00. Ms Johnson’s class-9:30-10:00

  • Wednesday, May 26-5th grade Continuation. Mrs. Banuelos’ class-9:00-9:30. Mrs. Chavarria’s class-9:45-10:15. Mrs. Bates’ class-10:30-11:00

  • Thursday, May 27-Last day of school

  • Wednesday, August 18-First day of school


  • Chromebooks, chargers and any other school devices must be returned by May 28th at 1:00pm.  Families will be charged for any devices not returned.

Transitions can be challenging for children, especially after a school year full of many new kinds of transitions. The summer transition can be exciting for kids, but also brings up a mixture of feelings. Helping students prepare for the summer and opening a conversation about their feelings around school ending can be a great way to help your children manage their emotions around this big transition.

  • Balón USA is offering a free of charge soccer program in Thornton this summer, for girls and boys in 3rd-5th grades in collaboration with Adams 12 Five Star Schools, and  City of Thornton. Please click here for more information.

  • United Way is offering a workshop for parents regarding mental health problems, such as anxiety, depression and stress. They are also offering resources for families. For more information regarding the workshop, click  here. For resources, click  here

  • The district  will be starting their Summer Food Service Program on June 3rd, where families can pick up FREE meals for youth ages 1-18. There will be two drive-up sites and various walk-up sites within the district and community. Click  here for more information.
