Hello students and families! We hope you are all doing well. Here you will find infomation regarding remote learning, including but not limited to upcoming events, recent news and any documents pertinent to kindergarten education at Thornton Elementary. Below is a complete list of kindergarten classrooms at Thornton Elementary. Each of these online classrooms is managed by their respective teachers and contains detailed information for the individual class beyond the general grade level information found here.

Technical Support:

For technical assistance in support of remote learning, please visit https://familytechsupport.adams12.org to read FAQs or submit a service request. Families can also request technical assistance by sending an email to familytechsupport@adams12.org or calling (720) 972-4118 to leave a message. Please provide as much information as possible in your request (such as: student name, student ID / lunch number, a phone number or email we can use to contact the family, a complete description of the problem).

Important information for all students:

Do you have a remote learning device? A chromebook is not necessary. Any device - laptop, desktop, tablet - with access to the internet will work as long as you can connect to an internet browser such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc. We would not recommend using a smartphone.  Here are directions for logging into your own account on a personal device or a district chromebook.  Direcciones para ingresando a TU PROPIA cuenta en espanol!

If you have already requested a device, you will receive a personal communication telling you where and when to pick up your device on Monday, March 30. If you do not have a device as listed above, you can request a device from the district. To request a device for your child please call (720) 972-5555 and leave a voicemail or email: Adams12RemoteLearning@adams12.org.

Parents can come to one of the five district comprehensive high schools - Horizon, Legacy, Mountain Range, Northglenn or Thornton High School - to be assigned a device through a drive-thru or walk up process. Devices will be distributed on Tuesday, March 31 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Families must sign for the devices when picking one up. All devices will need to be returned to the district.

If you need help with internet connection, see below for free and low-cost options from external providers:

  • Comcast’s Internet Essentials is offering two free months for their Internet Essentials package for eligible households. For more information on if your family is eligible and to apply, visit their website or call 1-855-846-8376.

  • Xfinity is providing Free WiFi For Everyone in many neighborhoods for a limited time. Many Xfinity Wifi hotspots across the country will be available to anyone who needs them for free. Search for a public WiFi hotspot near you. If you locate a free wifi hotspot in your neighborhood, you can connect with these instructions.

  • The fastest solution to get online may be using your personal smartphone as a hotspot. You may need to check with your cellular carrier/provider to know if using your personal smartphone as a hotspot will incur fees for overages of data use. See instructions for how to use your phone as a hotspot: Android instructions | Apple iPhone instructions
